Mother Creatrix Collective (MCC) is a collective of artist mothers based in New York. Founded in 2022 by Shweta Bist, Kim Hopson, and Jocelyn Russell, MCC creates platforms that highlight the voices and experiences of artists navigating the complex intersections of motherhood, caregiving, and artistic practice. MCC received a 2026 Brooklyn Arts Council grant on behalf of their And I am aware of my heart: it opens and closes curatorial project open now at Stand4 Gallery.
