Jocelyn A E Russell is a New York-based multimedia artist and educator who combines ceramics, handmade paper, textiles, and found objects to
create ceramic installations, functional pieces, and two-dimensional
mixed-media works. Jocelyn draws inspiration from the desire to
capture and convey the fleeting moments of our daily lives, ranging
from the grand and spiritual to the small and intimate. She received
her B.A. in Studio Art in 1996 from Hobart and William Smith Colleges,
a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Sculpture from the School of the
Museum of Fine Arts in 1999, and her MFA in 2001 from Parsons School
of Design. She has exhibited nationally, including Old Stone House in
Brooklyn, NY, and the Danforth Museum in Framingham, MA.
